The Disciples Follow Jesus

Mark 1:16-20

  1. As Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew throwing a net into the water, for they were fishermen.
  2. And Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
  3. Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.
  4. A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets.
  5. He called them at once, and they also followed Him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men.

Matthew 4:18-22

  2. He said to them, “Follow me, and I will turn you into fishers of men.”
  3. They left their nets immediately and followed him.
  4. A little farther up the shore He saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And He called them to come.
