Teaching about Salt and Light

Matthew 5:13-16

  1. You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it useful again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
  2. You are like light for the whole world that cannot be hidden. Like a city on top of a hill for all to see.
  3. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.
  4. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.
