Blessed by God

Psalms 1:1-6
- Blessed is the man that refuses evil advice and won’t follow sinners or join in sneering at God.
- Instead he finds pleasure in obeying God and intently studying his commands day and night.
- He is like a tree planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season and whose leaves do not wither. He succeeds in everything he attempts.
- But this is not true of the wicked. They are like straw blown by the wind.
- For this reason the wicked will not survive the judgment, and sinners will not be in the congregation of the righteous or worship with God’s people.
- Certainly the Lord rewards the behavior of the godly, but the behavior of the wicked is self-destructive.

Dear Lord,
The life that you give is sooooooo very blessed. Teach me how to respond in love to those who disrespect you and your people. Teach me how to walk everyday more and more in your love. My desire is for “my desire” to turn towards your desire ~ to want what you want ~ that my affections would be on the things of God and your people and not on seeking things for myself. Teach me how to humble myself. Give me the gift of being a “street-sign” for Jesus.
