Jesus Heals on the Sabbath

Luke 14:1-6

One Sabbath day Jesus went to eat dinner in the home of a leader of the Pharisees, and the people were watching Him closely.
There in front of him was a man suffering from abnormal swelling of his body.
Jesus turned to the Pharisees and lawyers and asked them, “Is it permitted in the law to heal people on the Sabbath day?”
But they refused to answer his question. So Jesus touched the sick man, healed him, and sent him away.
Then He turned to the Pharisees and teachers of the law, “Which of you whose son or ox falls into a well, will not immediately rescue him on the Sabbath day?”
And they had no answer and could not reply. [Note]

Luk 14:6 This is what true sanctification does, it leaves the world speechless ~ without an answer to the power of God they have just witnessed. A sanctified life radiates with the love of God and changes a person so completely that all who observe are left with only one response; “Only God could do such a thing.” [←Back]
